Prowrap wows crowds with “crème de la crème of wrapping” Speedwrap Pro launch at International Salon Culinaire event
Prowrap has raised the bar for kitchen wrapping equipment after it officially launched its upgraded Speedwrap Pro range of dispensers at the prestigious International Salon Culinaire competition.
The dispenser – available in two models, the compact Pro 300 and the larger Pro 450 – was met with glowing reviews from attendees at the historic culinary exhibition, where Prowrap was the official wrapping partner. The new models feature a number of upgrades designed with kitchen safety, sustainability and efficiency in mind, including a patented sheathed safety blade, antimicrobial technology for enhanced dispenser protection, and compatibility with recyclable films.
“It’s the speediest wrap ever. La crème de la crème of wrapping,” said attendee Ashley Collins, Executive Chef at Dash Catering. Other visitors to the show were impressed by the safety features of the dispenser, as Aiden Jayne of Compass Group noted, “Do you know how many times I’ve cut myself on a dispenser?”. Ryan Corbett, Chef at the Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust agreed, adding, “It’s great – the cling film doesn’t get stuck and you can’t cut yourself. We’re always cutting ourselves while changing rolls!”
Bryony Barlow, Commercial Director at Prowrap, was elated with the reception to the new dispenser, saying, “We couldn’t have asked for a more successful launch. The opportunity to launch our dispenser at such a historic event, surrounded by some of the biggest and brightest names in the culinary world was exciting for us. We got to put the Speedwrap Pro through its paces at the highest possible level, and we’re thrilled with the feedback we received.”
The dispenser launched alongside a range of compatible standard and recyclable film options, recycled content foils, and baking parchment. The rolls have been tailored to fit the Speedwrap Pro models without the use of the traditional plastic locator, reducing the amount of plastic waste produced by a kitchen.
“Cutting food waste and material waste are both vital goals for today’s foodservice sector,” continued Barlow. “The Speedwrap Pro and its range of compatible foils, films, and parchments will help any kitchen run more efficiently in order to meet its sustainability goals.”
