On Thursday 5th February, the Prowrap team rolled up their sleeves and headed to Lower Chew Forest to take part in a hands-on tree-planting day, supporting the restoration efforts of biodiversity charity, Avon Needs Trees.

Braving rain, cold, and muddy conditions, colleagues from across the business, including senior leadership, marketing, quality control, IT, production, and sales, planted 270 trees, mostly hawthorn and buckthorn. Each tree will help local wildlife thrive and contribute to the charity’s wider goal of planting 75,000 trees across the Chew Valley.

Founded in 2019, Avon Needs Trees now manages three sites in the area, restoring woodland biodiversity, improving natural habitats, and creating opportunities for local people and organisations to get involved.

For Prowrap, the day was about more than planting trees, it was a chance for the team to come together, make a real difference in the local environment, and have some muddy fun along the way. Activities like this are just one part of the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, biodiversity, and projects that benefit local communities and landscapes.
