Prowrap driving sustainable progress with UN Global Compact commitment
Prowrap is proud to announce it has become a participant of the UN Global Compact as part of Wrapex Ltd.
Prowrap is dedicated to doing business that helps the community and the planet. The business has a long history of going above and beyond to incorporate Environmental, Social, and Governance concerns into the core of its business. As participants in the UN Global Compact, the business has formally adopted the internationally recognised commitments into its long-term strategies and day-to-day business operations.
As a special initiative of the United Nations Secretary-General, the UN Global Compact is a call for companies worldwide to align their operations and strategies with ten principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption.
“At Prowrap, our ambition is to do our bit to uphold the Global Compact’s Ten Principles and deliver the Sustainable Development Goals,” commented Ben Creeth, Sustainability Analyst at Prowrap. “That comes through accountability and supporting ecosystems that enable change. We’re always looking for responsible ways to continually improve and grow our business to support our customers, whether that is onshoring our manufacturing into the UK to cut emissions, or by switching to 97% renewable electricity. By joining the UN Global Compact, we’re not just consolidating all of that sustainable progress – we’re committing to working towards even more ambitious goals in the future.”
With more than 20,000 participating companies, 5 Regional Hubs, 63 Country Networks covering 80 countries, and 13 Country Managers establishing networks in 18 other countries, the UN Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative – one Global Compact uniting business for a better world.
