Foodservice supplier Goosemoor has taken a major step towards achieving its sustainability goals after it partnered with Prowrap to dramatically cut carbon emissions across its supply chain.

The partnership has seen Goosemoor, a member of The Wholesale Group, adopt the Speedwrap Pro dispenser and its range of films, foils, and baking parchments, alongside TWG’s Chef Approved cutterboxes. The Speedwrap Pro’s groundbreaking design means its refill rolls do not use plastic adapter inserts, ensuring the rolls are fully recyclable at end of life. This decision has already helped Goosemoor make a significant plastic saving this year.

All Prowrap and Chef Approved products are produced in the UK. Not only does this keep pricing competitive, but it also helps to cut carbon emissions and provide reliability at a time when global supply chains are stretched. Both brands also use fully recyclable packaging, while Speedwrap Pro Infinity Foil is fully recyclable. In addition, Speedwrap Pro and Chef Approved white baking parchments use less power to produce than brown parchment alternatives, further reducing emissions across Goosemoor’s supply chain.

Bryony Barlow, Commercial Director at Prowrap, said, “It’s never been more important for businesses to examine their supply chains and find efficiencies wherever they can, especially when there is so much geopolitical uncertainty. We’re proud to be a UK business that supports our customers with UK-produced innovations, helping our partners cut emissions with every wrap.

“It’s a pleasure to be working with Goosemoor and The Wholesale Group – forward-thinking operations whose sustainability goals align closely with our own.”

George Pritchard, Director of Goosemoor, said, “We’re excited to be working alongside Prowrap and The Wholesale Group to provide products which have a small carbon footprint and a strong health and safety offering. A secure supply chain is also essential in today’s foodservice industry.”

The Speedwrap Pro’s benefits go far beyond its waste-eliminating design. Its patented safety blade ensures it reduces the occurrence of accidents and lost time injuries (LTIs) while maintaining a smooth, efficient cutting action.
