One of the newest faces at Prowrap, Zahid has hit the ground running in his new role as Regional Account Manager. With a background in beverage and bakery sales, he’s bringing sharp instincts, practical experience, and a passion for helping our customers to succeed.

Zahid started out in a completely different field, studying Digital Film at university. However, a placement with soft drink giant Britvic sparked a love for sales development. “I did a three-month internship while studying. I really enjoyed it, so once I’d graduated, I got in touch with my manager and landed a full-time role in North London. Thankfully, I’d passed my driving test by then!”

From that point, Zahid spent two years learning the ropes at Britvic, honing his craft and learning to develop strong and rewarding relationships with customers. Then, Zahid stepped into an even more demanding role at bakery goods distributor Delice de France, managing sales across London and the South East. “I had to learn fast,” he says. “Where previously pricing and processes were set, now I was building pricing strategies directly around the needs of the customers. I had to know the weight of every product, how long they took to bake, and so on. It was intense, but it taught me an awful lot.”

That resilience is a core part of Zahid’s approach. Whether he’s onboarding a new customer, handling complex pricing negotiations, or learning a new product range, he thrives on figuring things out logically and getting results.

So, why Prowrap? “Foodservice was definitely the right destination on my career roadmap, and Prowrap has been on my radar for a long time. The business works with major foodservice businesses, distributors, and wholesalers, so I’m looking forward to taking my experience from retail and building on it. It’s a challenge I’m really looking forward to!”

Now settled into his new role with the Prowrap team, his key focus is building out the prospect pipeline, helping to convert new business into fantastic long-term relationships. Independence, resilience, and proactivity are key strengths that Zahid brings to the role, all helping to make a great first impression with future partners and laying the groundwork to strong, lasting collaborations.

Zahid believes that great selling isn’t about pushing products, it’s about listening. He takes the time to understand each customer’s world, their pressures, and what success looks like to them. It’s a thoughtful, practical approach that fits perfectly with the Prowrap philosophy: “

Outside of work, Zahid’s a self-described foodie. “I love going out to eat – but I’m not much of a cook! Right now, I’m trying to do more hiking, exploring further outside London. I’d love to do more travelling in the future too.”
